Soundscape Composition for Field Recording Class

This piece was my final project for MUS 176 with Professor Michelle Lou. This class centered around field recordings and how to gather and curate their content for meaningful use in creative work. The piece I ended up creating centered primarily on the idea of pulsing or repeated sounds. Throughout the class, I developed a fixation on the sound of rain. The pulsing of individual droplets or the ebb and flow of the wind as it carries rain became a meditative hook for me.
