This project was the final product of a 5-day ChucK/ChuGL workshop taught at Stanford's CCRMA. The idea behind the project I decided on was to create a strategy RPG-like game where the strategic choices that the user makes change the music. I wanted to explore if there could exist a relationship between strategy and musicality. The way I implemented this was through an audio sequencer, where each instrument in the sequencer is correlated to a "unit". As the user, you control an army of different instruments/units that are working together to fight a boss. In order to fight the boss, the user needs to find a stat spread for each instrument that allows them to defeat it. These stats are linked to audio parameters for each sound, such as reverb, saturation, etc. As such, the game becomes centered around this contrast between creating fun beats and optimizing your units to defeat the boss.
