This was a two-quarter project I worked on for MUS 174A/B with Professor Tom Erbe followed by Professor King Britt the next quarter. The goal of the class and project was to record, mix, and master a large ensemble to understand each step of the music production process. I decided to collaborate with The Intermission Orchestra at UCSD, a student org on campus that specializes in covers of anime and movie music. The specific group I worked with was a band that was working on an arrangement their music director had made of "Kaikai Kitan" and "Lost in Paradise" from the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. This was a 9-piece band involving both acoustic and electric instruments: Keyboard, Guitar, Bass, Drumset, Percussion, Soprano Sax, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, and Baritone Sax.
